Maternity and childcare leave, and shortened working hours

The maternity leave acquisition rate at our company is nearly 100%, meaning that no employees resign due to childbirth. Many employees continue to take childcare leave. After returning to work, shortened working hours are available depending on family circumstances, so the length of service for female employees is comparable to that of male employees. Additionally, male employees who are eligible also make full use of childcare leave.

Subsidy for book expenses

The company fully covers the cost of books purchased for skill development, provided that a report is submitted to share the information. No prior approval is needed; employees can simply submit their request after purchasing and reading the book. This policy helps to raise employees' awareness and engagement.

Six months of on-the-job training (for new graduates)

After joining the company, new employees undergo hands-on training in all departments for approximately six months. After this period, assignments are determined based on individual aptitudes. Since our company emphasizes teamwork in product development, employees may also support other departments. This approach helps cultivate a well-rounded perspective. Those with the right aptitude can take on leadership roles from an early stage.

How We Spend Our Days Off

Shunji Takagi

Forget about work on your days off and refresh yourself out on the sea.

The reason I started fishing was because a client invited me, but now, 40 years later, it has become a weekend staple for me. I even built my first boat from scratch. It seems to be in my nature to want to delve deeply into whatever I do, so I am always making my own improvements to my equipment. The real thrill of fishing for me is the moment I catch a fish because it proves that my innovations and predictions matched the fish's behavior. The catch is merely the result. Nonetheless, I also enjoy cooking the fish I catch and serving it to close friends.

Even on my days off, I still enjoy the art of creating things.

I joined this company because I love creating things, and my hobbies reflect this passion as well. Lately, my favorite hobby is baking bread. The joy of bread-making lies not just in mixing ingredients but in the critical process of fermentation. It's fascinating to work with the natural forces that humans can't fully control, adjusting ingredient ratios and temperature management to perfect the outcome. Making bread helps me refresh my mind and often sparks new ideas for work. I sometimes share my bread at the office, and hearing "delicious" from my colleagues is always encouraging.
